I am Karen Sharp. I have never had a comfortable bra IN MY LIFE. After a bout with breast cancer, I decided to start sewing again. I hadn’t sewn in quite some time. A friend of mine in Angela Wolf’s group told me about the Bee. I decided to try it! I LOVED the information there. I purchased the beginner bee. Then I upgraded to the main bee. Then I upgraded to one year access! I have learned so much from the Bee. My first bra was the pink Sahaara. I bought the kit for the Bee and completed it within a week. It is sooo comfortable. I felt so good about my make that I had to make another. I chose to use black lace over white cup fabric. The black bled onto the white, so that was a bit of a mess. It still looks good, though! Lesson learned! As I have learned more about fitting, I will be remaking the Sahaara to fit myself even better. If you are considering making a bra, just try it. It is just fabric! You will also learn a lot about fitting and techniques that you can use in your other sewing projects.
